March 8th, 2020 is International Women’s Day, an international day to celebrate the achievements of women and girls around the world.
This year’s theme, I am Generation Equality: Realizing Women’s Rights, is supported by the United Nation’s Women’s new multigenerational campaign, Generation Equality.
While we celebrate the achievements of so many, disabled women and girls continue to be subjected to ongoing human rights violations and abuses. This international observance is a time for all of us to reflect on the continuing marginalization of women and girls and calls for us to take action to hasten change.
