DRPI Asia Pacific Regional Disability Rights Monitoring Training

The DRPI Asia-Pacific Regional Training Workshop runs from July 4 to July 10, 2011. The workshop will take place in Bangkok, Thailand and is hosted by the DRPI Asia-Pacific Regional Centre which is based in the offices of Disabled Peoples' International - Asia Pacific Region (DPI/AP).

Representatives of organizations of persons with disabilities from 5 countries in the Asia Pacific region (Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Nepal and Bangladesh) will participate in this workshop to develop capacity in monitoring the human rights situation of persons with disabilities and report on the information collected.  Monitors from DRPI projects in the Philippines (Lauro Purcil) and New Zealand (Nathan Bond) will be among the facilitators, sharing their experiences monitoring disability rights in their countries.
